Collaborate 317-Indy’s Best Kept Secret

What if there was a place where people from all walks of life, in every shape, size and color come together to serve and support one another, where financial education propels businesses to success, where the entrepreneurial spirit thrives, where hope is amplified and lives are profoundly changed?  This place exists inside one piece of real estate called Collaborate 317.

It is an entrepreneurial collaborative located at the intersection of humanitarianism and benevolence.

It is time to unveil…                                           Indy’s best kept secret.

Education

Coffe (Community Outreach For Financial Education) leads the way in providing the most effective financial strategies and fundamental principles to businesses and especially to non-profits.

Hope Center Indy provides education, food, shelter and mental health services to women who have come out of human and sex trafficking.  The center is the largest facility of its kind in the nation and located right her in our back yard.  The center has capacity to care for 150 women.  There are only 500 housing units available for these women and 150 of them are right here in our back yard.  Pastor Hubert Nolen and his son David Nolen founded Hope Center Indy.  The idea was hatched less than a year ago as part of a non-profit incubator created right here at Collaborate 317.  All proceeds from Collaborate 317 above cost directly benefit Hope Center Indy.

Non-Profit Incubator

The newest initiative from Coffe is Amplify Hope which is an incubator for emerging non-profits who have recently launched or who want to expand from where they are today.  Collaborate 317 and Coffe have dedicated a $250,000 endowment of office space, business coaching, development, collaboration, networking, mastermind and accountability groups  for 50 non-profit organizations at no cost.  The program will be expanded to Veterans, Seniors, Youth and Women.

Why?  The natural first question is why.  Co-founders and long-time friends Joshua Bach and Bruce Ford reflect upon their various businesses together and both agree the biggest opportunities have come as a result of serving others.  What started as a financial services company to help others to get out of debt spun off to create a non-profit arm which is Coffe and provides financial education to non-profits in 27 states.  Josh says “we are teaching people how to fish in order to empower them to succeed.  We operate from an abundant mindset.  A culture that is grown as a result of everyone reaching out, serving and sharing.  It is the ultimate win-win situation.”

The environment, atmosphere and business climate is one of true collaboration.  It is a place where like-minded entrepreneurs come together to serve one another and in turn significantly benefit organizations who are enriching and improving lives in the local community.  While not originally designed as a faith based initiative, Christian faith abounds in all aspects of operation.

Matters of the Heart – from the founders of Collaborate 317 and Amplify Hope, to each and every one of the non-profits, the radio hosts, the grant writers, the story tellers and the for-profit businesses who support the entire initiative, it all boils down to a heart issue.

We are bringing hope to those written off by society, empowering people with entrepreneurial desires and skills.  There is a diversity of gifts, skills and resources we are willing to share to edify one another and glorify God within the communities we serve. Collaborate 317 is a movement.  Ask anyone who operates from Collaborate 317 how they got here and discover amazing stories, connections, relationships and a powerful spirit of true collaboration.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.  Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.
